Reproductive Health Act Passed Into Law in NY

As widely reported recently in the media, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo recently signed a horrible little piece of legislation called the Reproductive Health Act (RHA). The law allows for abortion up to 24 weeks in certain circumstances and is one of the most liberal abortion laws in the country. Cuomo, who is a practicing Catholic, has been condemned by the church and various religious organizations. At the same time, the pro-life case is marching forward although with much less media fanfare. In a recent article in Harvard Law Review, Joshua Craddock makes the case that unborn children should be included in the 14th amendment and that their lives should therefore be protected. If this legal argument were to take on life and make it to the Supreme Court, it's possible abortion could be ruled unconstitutional. You can read the text of the Harvard article below:
